Research Interests

Research interests include BioFuels from Algae, distribution and ecology of seaweed communities along the Texas coast, coral reefs of the southwestern Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, systematic and molecular botany of green algae (Chlorophyta; Caulerpa sp.), Flora of the Texas Costal Bend and Bacteria Source Tracking (BST) of E. coli in estuarine and marine environments using Pulse Field Gel Electrophoresis.
